Arsen Goulamirian vs Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez fight date, start time, odds, price & card for 2024 boxing fight

Gilberto Ramirez looks to become a champion in a new weight class, while Arsen Goulamirian attempts to hold onto his firm grip in the cruiserweight division. The WBA cruiserweight title fight is in California and is available on DAZN worldwide on March 30.

Goulamirian turned pro in 2011. The French fighter beat Ryad Merhy in 2018 via TKO to win the WBA cruiserweight title. He has defended the belt four times. The WBA promoted him to “super” champion status following the retirement of then-champion Denis Lebedev before a fight between the two could happen.

“Feroz” last fought in November 2022, beating Aleksei Egorov. It will be his first fight in America and outside of France and Belgium.

“I am excited to fight for the first time in the U.S. and partner with Abel Sanchez once again,” Goulamirian said. “It’s a great opportunity because this division is not very popular in the United States, and we get to draw attention to it. I want to thank Golden Boy for the opportunity. It is going to be a great fight. I am not like Bivol, and I will stop him.”

Ramirez, known as “Zurdo,” turned pro in 2009. He beat Giovanni Lorenzo for the NABF super middleweight title in 2014 and Maksym Bursak for the WBO super middleweight crown in 2017. Many thought Ramirez would dominate the light heavyweight division when he moved weight classes, but WBA champion Dmitry Bivol easily outpointed him in November 2022, ending his unbeaten streak.

The 32-year-old last fought in October, going the distance against and beating Joe Smith Jr. He now moves up another division to attempt to further enhance his stacked resume.

“It is an honor to be able to be the main event at YouTube Theater, and make a statement and potentially become a legend,” Ramirez said. “This is my motivation. Thank you to team Arsen for taking this fight and giving me the opportunity to fight for a title.”
