The World Snooker Championship 2024 is underway.
Ronnie O’Sullivan remains the frontrunner and is aiming for a record eighth world title after matching Stephen Hendry’s landmark of seven two years ago with a victory over Judd Trump in the final.
Despite his tremendous track record, the 48-year-old was knocked out last year in the quarterfinals by eventual champion Luca Brecel, who defeated Mark Selby in the decider.
Selby, who has been a consistent contender at The Crucible, is once again among the favourites, alongside Mark Allen, who seeks to secure his first major victory.
