In an excellent all-southpaw matchup at lightweight, William Zepeda looks to extend his awesome unbeaten streak against British contender Maxi Hughes at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on March 16. The 12-round bout, plus undercard action, will air on DAZN worldwide.

Zepeda (29-0, 25 KOs) is one of the hardest hitters in the division and has the stats to prove it. Between June 2017 and February 2022, the Mexican star scored 15 consecutive stoppage wins. He was taken the distance in back-to-back bouts with Rene Alvarado and Joseph “JoJo” Diaz, but his two most recent victories have also ended in a knockout.
Hughes (26-6-2, 5 KOs) is not known for his punching power, but he’s an accurate technician with quick feet and superb ring IQ. While the Englishman was deemed very unlucky not to get the decision against former champion George Kambosos last time out, he has produced upset wins over Jovanni Straffon and former featherweight champion Kid Galahad in recent years.
