Preakness race schedule 2024: Post times, TV channels for Pimlico horse racing weekend

Mystik Dan’s Triple Crown chances have increased after the surprising scratch of the Preakness Stakes favorite.

Muth, the top horse trained by Bob Baffert, dropped out of the Preakness Stakes because of a fever that reached 103 degrees Fahrenheit. Muth initially opened as the favorite ahead of Mystik Dan, who won the Kentucky Derby in a photo finish earlier this month.

“It takes a lot out of the equation,” said Ray Bryner, the assistant trainer for Mystik Dan. “We don’t have to worry about [Muth], so there’s eight horses now and we can kind of run our race and not worry about chasing the horse they call the favorite.”

Now, the question is whether Mystik Dan can take the second leg of the Triple Crown, giving the thoroughbred a chance to complete the sweep at the Belmont Stakes in June.

Here is everything you need to know about the Preakness schedule, including TV and streaming options for races.
