The New York Yankees continue to make moves.
On Saturday night, they traded for experienced infielder Amed Rosario from the Washington Nationals.
Rosario, a 29-year old, can play second base, third base or even shortstop in a pinch.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Yankees gave up pitcher Clayton Beeter and 18-year old outfielder Browm Martinez in return.
Rosario is the perfect complement to the Yankees’ left-handed hitters at second and third, Jazz Chisholm and Ryan McMahon.

The righty-hitting Rosario has always been known as a great weapon against southpaws.
This season for the Nats, Rosario is batting .270 with five home runs. Specifically against lefties, Rosario is at .299 with three homers.
His bat and defensive versatility will play well in New York.

This move likely means the Yankees’ links to Willi Castro won’t come through, because the Twins’ trade option would’ve filled many of the same gaps Rosario now will.
But don’t expect New York to be done yet. There’s still pitching to go get.
