The Los Angeles Rams are traveling this week to take on the Arizona Cardinals in Phoenix in a divisional matchup. These last few weeks for the Rams will be imperative as they look to make one last push for the one seed in the NFC.
They have what it takes to make it happen, too. The Rams boast an MVP-caliber QB, two of the best receivers in the NFL, and one of the most lethal defenses in the league through 13 weeks.

The most important part of this team, however, is their greatest constant: head coach Sean McVay.
For the last nine years, since McVay took over the Rams, he’s been one of the best and brightest in the league, and the Rams have been a force.
When the Rams took off to travel to Phoenix on Saturday, McVay was not with the team. What’s going on with McVay?
Sean McVay didn’t travel on the team plane
When the Los Angeles Rams departed on their team plane on Saturday, they did so without a crucial member of their organization. They took off without Sean McVay.
It was reported that McVay would be flying separately from the team down to Phoenix due to an illness.

That would not be good for LA, as McVay is the driving force of their entire team. Luckily for LA, they will not be without their fearless leader on Sunday.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported later on Saturday that despite the illness that forced him to travel separately from the team will not keep him from the sideline.

Los Angeles likely would’ve been able to handle the Cardinals with or without McVay, but it will certainly help having him in a headset and on the sidelines.
