Will Paris Fury be at Usyk vs. Fury 2? Update on status of Tyson, his family heading into boxing fight

Family means everything. For the Furys, that will have a whole new meaning when Tyson Fury faces Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch on December 21 in Saudi Arabia. The fight will be streamed live by DAZN.

Fury is a former two-time heavyweight champion. “The Gypsy King” lost against Usyk in May to determine the first undisputed heavyweight champion since 1999. It didn’t take long for the rematch to get booked, this time for the unified heavyweight title.

The ex-champ has worked nonstop to prepare for the fight and didn’t let anyone, including family, get in the way of training.

During an interview with Queensberry Promotions, it was revealed that Fury hasn’t seen his wife, Paris, or kids in months as he has focused solely on getting ready for Usyk.

“I’ll end his career… you’ll never hear about Oleksandr Usyk again after this,” Fury said. “It’s been a long camp, [haven’t] seen my wife and kids in 3 months. I haven’t spoken to [my wife] at all in 3 months. Not one word sacrificed a lot. But it’ll all be worth it. 100%.”

The quote resulted in several questions from fight fans, wondering why someone would leave their family behind. Paris heard enough about their business and set the record straight, quoting the video with her own message.

“People don’t see the sacrifices made. I’ve let him solely concentrate on this fight. It seems like he’s been gone forever, especially with no contact but if it’s what he needs,” Paris said on social media via Daily Mail.

The Fury family has shown their lives on social media and beyond, starring with their seven children on the Netflix program, At Home With The Furys.

Fury told Dev Sahni he plans on flying home for Christmas after the fight, ready to drink eggnog, eat mince pies and turkey, and be with family. Paris decided to bring Christmas early to Tyson.

Paris posted an image of her and their son on a plane on social media. Tagging Tyson, the caption read “On our way,” meaning the Fury family will be reunited after months apart. This was later confirmed after she was seen at the weigh-ins, along with Tommy Fury and other members of the Fury clan.
