The newest Washington Wizards rumor is that they could be making some changes next season. They are supposedly open to trading Jordan Poole before the season starts. The Wizards’ record last season is nothing to be proud of. They desperately need to make some big changes if they want to get off the floor of the NBA standings. We fired up the NBA trade machine to try and switch things up in a big way for the Wizards’ depth chart next season.
Our NBA trade machine creation looks like this:
Orlando Magic receive: Jordan Poole and Khris Middleton
Washington Wizards receive: Cole Anthony, Jonathan Isaac, Goga Bitadze, Jett Howard, and a first-round pick
The Wizards could use a reset like this. With the current Wizards rumors indicating that Poole could be out, the team might as well also try to rid itself of another veteran who could hamper their rebuild.
With this trade idea, the Wizards’ record next season might not improve at all. But that doesn’t matter. With this Wizards trade proposal, they could get multiple young players as well as an extra draft pick.
Cole Anthony might not be the sexiest name on the NBA trade market, but he is a solid young player. Isaac is finally playing basketball again and still has his elite defensive skills. Bitadze is a valuable backup center, and Jett Howard has the potential to develop into something nice.
If you are thinking none of that sounds that exciting, you are correct. However, that’s OK for the Wizards for now. Getting off Poole’s contract, grabbing a pick, and taking a few fliers on solid players with potential is exactly the type of move they need to make.

The Wizards don’t need to hit a home run. They just need to continue to develop young players and see what works, because what they have been doing hasn’t worked at all.
