Dylan Ferguson spent the 2024-25 NHL season on a two-way contract with the Minnesota Wild.
But he won’t be back this upcoming season.
Ferguson is heading to play in Slovakia for HK Nitra, the club announced. It’ll be a one-year deal.
Ferguson, 26, has bounced around a ton since being a seventh-round pick of the Stars in 2017.
He has only played three NHL games, one for Vegas and two for Ottawa. He’s got a 92.9 save percentage in those games, for what it’s worth.
In the AHL, Ferguson has played for the Chicago Wolves, Henderson Silver Knights, Toronto Marlies, Belleville Senators and Iowa Wild.
In AHL action, Ferguson is 18-15 with a 90.3 save percentage and a 2.94 goals against average.

The native of British Columbia has played in Europe once before. In 2023-24, he played for Dinamo Minsk in Belarus.
Nitra features 44-year old Branislav Mezei, who was the No. 10 overall pick by the Islanders in 1999.
Ferguson can likely make one more AHL/NHL comeback after a year or two in Europe if he can prove he’s still good enough to be a solid depth goalie for a team stateside.
