Jacksonville Jaguars’ rookie Travis Hunter’s wife, Leanna Lenee, is going viral for a TikTok crying video that’s sparked wild cheating and divorce rumors – but the real reason behind the story is very different.
It’s your typical example of people seeing a short clip of something online and assuming the worst, without trying to take in the whole story.
The drama unfolded on Saturday, July 19, after the NFL rookie’s new bride shared a video of herself crying on TikTok.

The clip quickly went viral on social media with various versions on X getting millions of views.
Several people have started suggesting that a cheating scandal has rocked the social media influencer’s new marriage to the NFL player, while others have speculated that Hunter and Lenee are getting ready to file for divorce.
“If they break the marriage within a year he can file annulment and it’s like the marriage never happened. File annulment now king,” one person wrote on X.
“Divorce lawyers waiting…,” another person wrote.
“Whomever didn’t see this divorce coming after we all saw no prenup… well bunch of blind people. She’s a gold digger,” someone else commented.

Despite the widespread speculation, there’s no evidence of infidelity or separation, and Hunter and his new bride appear to be rock solid.
Many people clearly skipped the TikTok’s caption, which stated that the video was taken in December and explained the reason for the tears.
The actual reason Lenee posted the clip turned out to be quite inspiring.
In the video, Lenee is standing in a bathroom with wet hair wrapped in a towel.
The rookie NFL WAG said she reposted the video to show others how much she’s grown, although it may have backfired, as trolls on social media continue to try to bring her down.
“I wish I could go back and hug December me, because oh baby, God was about to change your heart in the most important and beautiful way,” Lenee wrote. “I don’t even recognize the girl anymore.”
“The amount you can grown and develop in just 6 months of devoting your life to Jesus and getting away from the shackles of the world and social media is truly astounding. I wish the peace I found within Jesus on everyone who reads this,” she added. “Your identity in him matters, not how people choose to perceive you.”

Fans defend Travis Hunter’s wife after viral TikTok sparks rumors
After the video was posted, dozens of fans took to the comments section to applaud Lenee for sharing her growth with her more than 472,000 TikTok followers.
“I can’t imagine what it’s like for so many people to attack you. I’m sorry, you didn’t deserve it,” one person commented.
“They saw this video of her crying and created whatever story for views & content,” another person quipped.
“It irritates me so much how awful people were to you when you should’ve been celebrating your upcoming wedding and Travis getting drafted. But you made it through,” a third person wrote.
WNBA star Angel Reese even dropped a comment, writing, “so proud of you bby! the storm doesn’t last forever.”
Lenee married the Colorado Buffaloes star in May 2025 in a romantic ceremony in front of family and friends in Tennessee.
They recently returned home from a romantic honeymoon in Turks & Caicos.
