This partnership didn’t last very long.
The Baltimore Ravens signed Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, otherwise known as C.J., just seven days ago.
But on Tuesday, they released him, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Gardner-Johnson won a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles in February, but he’ll again be looking for a new team.
He began this season with the Houston Texans but was released after just three games, and he didn’t actually get into a game for the Ravens.
Maybe third time will be the charm for Gardner-Johnson as far as 2025 teams go.

Why did the Ravens release C.J. Gardner-Johnson?
The Ravens and Gardner-Johnson parted ways mutually, according to Schefter.
His agent, Kevin Conner, told Schefter that they and Ravens officials reached “an amicable mutual decision.”
“After the Ravens traded for a safety, we were looking for a clearer path to play,” Conner added to Schefter.
The Ravens traded for Alohi Gilman last week, not long after signing Gardner-Johnson.
The 27-year old Gardner-Johnson has 18 career interceptions and is an intense competitor. He won’t add to that with the Ravens, but he may get another chance somewhere soon.
