The rise has been quick for Jonathan Kuminga.
At the end of last season, he had multiple games in which he didn’t get on the floor at all for the Golden State Warriors.
Now, he’s what head coach Steve Kerr called an “entrenched starter.”
“He’ll start tonight and he will be our starter going forward,” Kerr told reporters before Tuesday’s game. “He’s been fantastic. Last night, put him on Ja. Tonight we will put him on James Harden. I think he’s ready.”

How did Jonathan Kuminga go from DNPs to starting every game?
Kuminga has proven to the Warriors that he’ll do the little things.
Through four games of the new season, he’s averaging 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game.
Everyone knew he could score, and he’s doing that to the tune of 18 points per game with 42.9% shooting from 3-point range.
But it’s the other contributions, including the defending mentioned by Kerr above, that has made all the difference.
The Warriors are simply much better with Kuminga in the game.
