Why hasn’t LeBron James retired yet? Because Lakers legend ‘gets treatment in the club’

LeBron James is about to set an NBA record for prolonging retirement.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar is set to play in his 23rd NBA season, a new record.

One of his former Miami Heat teammates recently told an incredible story to explain how LeBron has lasted this long, from the No. 1 pick out of high school to still playing at a high level at 40.

“I tell people this all the time: Bron will really get treatment if we were in the club,” Chalmers said on Nightcap. “He would literally have something on his knees or something on his back inside the club, so it’s like once somebody’s doing that, like that’s real dedication to just be in the club with treatment.”

James, whose new teammate Luka Doncic recently said shows up 10 hours before each game, is as committed to his craft as anyone in the league.

“Not ice bags,” Chalmers said. “It’d be like the stim machine shooting electricity in your knees, hamstrings, or lower back. He always got something that’s recovery, making his body recover, so that’s the thing once you see that, like that’s a different type of dedication.”

Turns out, the King doesn’t just wear crowns.

Anything it took to recover, LeBron had it, no matter where he was.

That’s how you last so long, and score so many points, and win so many games.

At this rate, James might just stick around forever. Would it really surprise anyone?
