Bayern Munich are continuing their hunt for a new winger in the summer transfer window despite falling short of securing multiple targets in recent weeks.
The Bavarians are reportedly now pushing for a move to sign Liverpool star Luis Diaz, who is unsettled with his salary situation at Anfield, with renewal talks scheduled on Merseyside.
While there are reports of Bayern Munich agreeing personal terms with the Colombian winger, they are yet to match Liverpool’s lofty asking price of £70m [$93m] for the 28-year-old.
Bayern Munich have made an opening £43.3m [$58m] bid for Diaz, but Liverpool are firm in their stance and are will not release the former Porto winger for less than their valuation.
With that situation potentially hitting a dead end, the German champions are looking at an alternative option in Arsenal star Leandro Trossard as per BILD.
The Belgian versatile winger is extremely underrated in Mikel Arteta’s system at the Emirates Stadium but new arrivals could force him out of the picture in North London.

Arsenal are close to wrapping up the move for Noni Madueke from Chelsea, and they could be open to selling Trossard to part fund that deal.
Why Trossard could be a good signing for Bayern Munich?
Trossard is reportedly available in the market for £18m [$23m], and for that price, he could be a steal signing if the Vincent Kompany decides to push for him.
The 30-year-old has been a crucial squad player for the Gunners ever since he moved to North London from Brighton.
The Bavarians are short of options on the left flank, and Trossard’s ability to play on the left or in a central slot, could be lethal in Kompany’s system.
Trossard featured in 42 matches for Arsenal last season, scoring 10 goals, and providing nine assists across all competitions.
As per FBref, his statistics hold up well in comparison to forwards in the top five European leagues, as he averaged 2.74 progressive carries, 3.36 shot-creating actions, 3.72 progressive passes and 1.90 success take-ons per 90 minutes last season.
Alongside being a left-wing option for Kompany, Trossard can also slot in for the injured Jamal Musiala in attacking midfield, until he returns to action.
