There is only one week left in the 2024 regular season. While the majority of the playoff spots are already locked, there is still plenty of movement that can happen in Week 18.

There will be two games on Saturday as the Ravens take on the Browns, followed by the Steelers hosting the Bengals. The AFC North is up for grabs and the Bengals are still trying to qualify for the playoffs. There is a 14-game Sunday slate with two playoff spots on the line, and only four playoff seeds locked in.

NFL DRAFT NEWS:

AFC current playoff matchups

1. Kansas City Chiefs (first-round bye)

The Chiefs have won the AFC West for nine straight seasons. Kansas City has the best record in the league and retains the No. 1 seed even if it loses to Denver in Week 18. The Chiefs won’t play in the playoffs until the Divisional Round.

2. Buffalo Bills vs. 7. Denver Broncos

The Bills will be the No. 2 seed for the AFC and host a Wild Card game. They don’t know exactly who they are playing. If Denver wins, it’s in the playoffs as the No. 7 seed. If the Broncos lose, it could be the Dolphins or the Bengals that jump up and enter the playoffs.

3. Baltimore Ravens vs. 6. Los Angeles Chargers

Both the Ravens and the Chargers are locked into a playoff berth. The Chargers are guaranteed to be a Wild Card team. Baltimore is sitting in the driver’s seat for the AFC North. If the Ravens beat the Browns in Week 18, they will clinch the division and be the No. 3 seed. Los Angeles could be the No. 5 or the No. 6 seed.

4. Houston Texans vs. 5. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Texans have clinched the AFC South already. As the lowest-ranked division winner, they are locked into the No. 4 seed in the AFC regardless of a win or loss in Week 18. Houston will be home in the Wild Card round, and likely on the road in the Divisional and beyond if it makes it.

If Pittsburgh beats Cincinnati and Cleveland beats Baltimore, the Steelers will win the AFC North and move into the top 3. With a loss, Pittsburgh will be either the No. 5 or No. 6 seed.

NFC current playoff matchups

1. Detroit Lions (first-round bye)

The Lions currently hold the No. 1 seed in the NFC North. Detroit will face Minnesota in Week 18. The winner gets the No. 1 seed, while the loser drops to No. 5.

2. Philadelphia Eagles vs. 7. Green Bay Packers

The Eagles are locked into the No. 2 seed and have won the NFC East. Philadelphia is expected to rest Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley, among others, in the final week of the regular season.

The Packers have clinched a playoff berth. Green Bay is currently the No. 7 seed, but it can jump up to the No. 6 seed if it wins and Washington loses.

3. Los Angeles Rams vs. 6. Washington Commanders

Los Angeles has clinched the NFC West and is expected to be the No. 3 seed. If the Rams lose and the Buccaneers win, L.A. would drop to the No. 4 seed based on the conference record tiebreaker.

Washington is in the playoffs but could be either the No. 6 seed with a win or the No. 7 seed with a loss in Week 18.

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. No. 5 Minnesota Vikings

There could be a lot of movement with this matchup. If Tampa Bay wins in Week 18, it clinches the NFC South and a top-four seed. If the Buccaneers lose, the Falcons could take their playoff spot and clinch the division with a win.

Tampa Bay could miss the playoffs entirely. If the Bucs make it, Minnesota could be the No. 1 seed if it beats Detroit in its last game. If that happens, the Lions would be the No. 5 seed.
