
Real Betis and Chelsea met in the UEFA Conference League final in 2025.
The Blues came into the game celebrating a positive end to their Premier League season, which saw them clinch a qualifying spot for next season’s Champions League.
Betis were hoping to win a major European trophy for the first time after spending years watching local rivals Sevilla enjoy great success in the Europa League.

Who won UEFA Conference League final 2025?
Chelsea won the UEFA Conference League final after battling from a goal down to claim a 4-1 victory in Wroclaw, Poland.
Abde Ezzalzouli gave Manuel Pellegrini’s team a deserved halftime lead, but Enzo Fernandez nodded in an equaliser from Cole Palmer’s cross in the 65th minute.
Palmer again turned provider to set up Nicolas Jackson to put Chelsea ahead, and substitute Jadon Sancho struck with seven minutes of normal time remaining to make certain of victory.
Moises Caicedo’s deflected shot in injury time added gloss to the scoreline.
They are the first team ever to win all three of the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.

Past winners of UEFA Conference League
The Conference League, previously called the Europa Conference League, has only existed since 2021/22.
Four different teams have won the trophy since its inception: Roma, West Ham, Olympiacos, and now Chelsea.
Feyenoord lost the first final to Jose Mourinho’s Roma in 2022, and Fiorentina lost both the 2023 and 2024 showpieces. Real Betis were beaten in 2025.
