Who plays on ‘Monday Night Football’ tonight? Time, TV channel, schedule for NFL Week 2 games

The first “Monday Night Football” doubleheader of the 2025 season will feature strong quarterback play and a number of playoff hopefuls.

In the first game, C.J. Stroud and the Texans will welcome in Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers. Stroud will look to hit his stride after failing to engineer a touchdown drive in last week’s 14-9 loss to the Rams.

On the other side, Tampa Bay is ready for its second consecutive road game on the heels of a thrilling three-point victory over the Falcons in Week 1. Mayfield threw three touchdowns, with rookie receiver Emeka Egbuka — a teammate of Stroud’s at Ohio State — reeling in two scores.

In the nightcap, the Chargers will return stateside following an emphatic victory in Brazil over the Chiefs. Justin Herbert leads Los Angeles into “Sin City” for a bout with the Raiders, who looked formidable in a Week 1 victory over the Patriots.

Geno Smith passed for 362 yards in his Raiders debut. Perhaps he’ll receive more support from rookie running back Ashton Jeanty, who averaged just two yards per carry in his introduction to the NFL.
