If you put ‘watching football’ on your Christmas wish list, you’re in luck.
Even though the holiday falls on a Wednesday, the NFL is set for a Christmas Day doubleheader rife with playoff implications.
The Steelers, Chiefs, Texans, and Ravens are all ticketed for the playoffs entering their respective Week 17 matchups. But divisional crowns and playoff seeds are on the line, setting the stage for a pair of high-stakes showdowns.
The Sporting News has all that you need to know about the NFL’s Christmas Day slate.

The NFL’s Christmas Day slate begins in Pittsburgh, with the Steelers hosting the AFC-best Chiefs.
Kansas City can lock up the No. 1 seed with a win. Patrick Mahomes and company won yet another one-possession game Saturday over the Texans, with Mahomes notching two total touchdowns.
Pittsburgh (10-5) tries to stay in lockstep with the Ravens atop the AFC North, and also snap a two-game skid. Russell Wilson is a perfect 4-0 at home as the Steelers’ starting quarterback.
The action continues in Houston, where the Texans host the Ravens.
Baltimore (10-5) picked up a pivotal rivalry win over the Steelers on Saturday, drawing even with Pittsburgh atop the AFC North. Lamar Jackson threw for three touchdowns while Derrick Henry ran for 162 yards — his seventh 100-yard rushing game of the season.
Houston (9-6) already has the AFC South wrapped up and looks to be ticketed for the No. 4 seed. But C.J. Stroud and company can nonetheless get some revenge after last January’s blowout loss to the Ravens in the AFC Divisional Round.
