Who has Bayern Munich signed and sold so far in the 2025 summer transfer window?

Bayern Munich reclaimed the Bundesliga title under the tutelage of Vincent Kompany, but they are still in a transitional phase as they aim to improve their roster to compete in European competitions.

The Bavarians were strongly linked with Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz. They have been monitoring the German star for a couple of seasons, but he is reportedly nearing a move to Liverpool.

After missing out on Wirtz, Bayern are desperately looking to sign a left winger as they may potentially also lose out on Leroy Sane. The 29-year-old’s current contract will run out at the end of this month, and he hasn’t come to terms with Bayern’s contract extension offer.

Currently linked with Premier League and Turkish teams, Sane may well leave the club, but he is expected to feature for the German champions in the Club World Cup in the United States, starting June 14.

At the moment, Bayern Munich have identified Bradley Barcola as their priority summer signing for the left-wing position. But they understand it could be a difficult transfer, and they already have their alternatives in place in Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams, AC Milan’s Rafael Leao and Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma.

In terms of signings, the Bavarians have added Jonathan Tah to their ranks on a free transfer from Leverkusen, while Bischof has also joined the club from Hoffenheim for free.

Also, it has been a very emotional end to the campaign as club legend Thomas Muller is all set to leave the club after the Club World Cup, following 25 years of association, as his contract runs out.

Players signed by Bayern Munich in 2025 summer

  • Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen – Free transfer
  • Tom Bischof from TSG Hoffenheim – Free transfer

Players sold or released by Bayern Munich in 2025 summer

  • Eric Dier (moved to Monaco)- End of contract
  • Thomas Muller – End of contract
  • Franz Kratzig (moved to RB Salzburg) – €3.5m

Bayern Munich will be keen to wrap up their major signing on the left flank before looking at other options in midfield and defence. Some reports have suggested that they may also lose Kingsley Coman this summer, and therefore, a couple of wingers could be in the shortlist of Max Eberl, but most of it depends on player sales.
