Who are CitiLimitz? What to know about Chiefs vs. Jaguars national anthem artist that shined on ‘Monday Night Football’

The Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars’ Week 5 joust on “Monday Night Football” teemed with star power. From Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and Donna Kelce to Trevor Lawrence and Travis Hunter, the titans were out in full force at EverBank Stadium.

It’s hard to imagine any of those leading lights did more to help their reputation than the match’s national anthem performer, though. CitiLimitz serenaded the Jacksonville faithful with the sort of moody rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” that reminded viewers of Marvin Gaye, Whitney Houston and Jennifer Hudson.

With that, here’s what you need to know about CitiLimitz, the three-man group that left their mark while soundtracking Kansas City and Jacksonville’s Week 5 clash.

The Chattanooga, Ten.-based music group were eliminated from the competition in the quarterfinals. Marion, A.T. and Dre came from a large family. Dre and A.T. have 10 other siblings and were raised in the church, plying their trade with the gospel and soul hymns that danced along the pews. They were trained by their grandfather and formed their group at the tender age of 12. What are CitiLimitz’s best songs?

In terms of original releases, it’s hard to look past “If They Only Knew” and “The Most” as CitiLimitz’s best — and most successful tracks. Both pair the emotive crooning of 1990s and early 2000s R&B with new-age production. The result? An enchanting experience for listeners and critics alike.
