The United States and Czechia will face off Saturday in the 2025 World Junior Championship semifinals, bringing each country one step closer to winning the WJC title.
Team USA defeated Switzerland in commanding fashion in the quarterfinals, dominating wire-to-wire with a 7-2 final. USA also beat Canada 4-1 on New Year’s Eve, with three goals coming on power plays. Each of these results left no doubt that the U.S. juniors belong among the final four contenders.
Czechia advanced to the semifinals by triumphing over Canada 3-2 in the quarterfinals for the second straight year.
