Thrilla in Manila 2: Jerusalem vs. Kuse start time

  • Date: Wednesday, October 29
  • Start time: 4 a.m. ET | 1 a.m. PT
  • Location: Araneta Coliseum – Manila, Philippines

Thrilla in Manila 2 is on October 29 from the Philippines. The main card starts at 4 a.m. ET and the main event should begin around 7:30 a.m. ET, depending on how long the undercard fights last.

The trilogy in the Philippines in 1975, a brutal affair that was watched by millions, saw Ali win in the fourteenth round. Pacquiao, the former Senator of the Philippines, teamed with the IBA to commemorate the anniversary.

Competing on the card is Nico Ali Walsh, Ali’s grandson, facing Kittisak Klinson. The 25-year-old Walsh (11-2) is 2-1 in his last three fights. The pressure is on, and Walsh hopes to deliver.

“Fighting in Manila, where my grandfather made history, is a dream come true,” Walsh said. “I’m bringing everything I’ve got against Klinson to honor that legacy and show the world who I am. Expect fireworks!”

The main event will see Melvin Jerusalem defending the WBC minimumweight title against Siyakholwa Kuse.

Jerusalem (24-3) is a former WBO minimumweight champion. The 31-year-old is on a four-fight win streak and has successfully defended the WBC title twice. Kuse (9-2-1) is on a six-fight win streak, and the South African looks to win gold after holding local titles.
