Osleys Iglesias vs. Vladimir Shishkin will be at the Montreal Casino on September 4. Fight night starts at 6:30 p.m. ET. Iglesias and Shishkin should make their way to the ring around 10 p.m. ET, depending on how long the undercard fights last.
Iglesias (13-0) is a five-time silver medalist at the amateur level. The Cuban has held the IBO title for a while now and is ranked third in the IBF’s super middleweight rankings.
Already a champion after holding onto the IBO belt, a win would help secure Iglesias’ status as a true force within the division.
“The Tornado is unstoppable. On September 4, I will be victorious, defend my IBO title, and become the IBF mandatory challenger. Step by step, belt by belt, I’ll be at the top very soon,” Iglesias said.
Ranked second, Shishkin (16-1) is looking to rebound after losing against William Scull for the IBF title. It was a controversial affair, and he’s been looking to climb back up the ladder since. The Russian has ten wins via knockout.
