Liverpool are set to begin their Women’s Super League campaign with a blockbuster opening fixture in the Merseyside derby clash with Everton at Anfield on Sunday.

Liverpool have lost key figures in Taylor Hinds and Olivia Smith but responded with a wave of new signings. Alejandra Bernabe and Sam Kerr have made their loan moves permanent, while Rafaela Borggrafe, Risa Shimizu, Emilia Szymczak, Lily Woodham, Kirsty Maclean and Beate Olsson have all been brought in to strengthen Gareth Taylor’s squad.
Everton, meanwhile, have seen several departures, with Heather Payne, Justine Vanhaevermaet, Sara Holmgaard and Karoline Olesen all moving on. However, Brian Sorensen has refreshed his team with new arrivals, including Ruby Mace, Maz Pacheco, Hikaru Kitagawa, Rion Ishikawa and Ornella Vignola, as the Toffees look to push forward this season.
