Liverpool vs. Tottenham lineups, team news

The only player Liverpool are without due to injury is Joe Gomez who is still on his way back from a hamstring problem and needs another week or two.

With everyone else fit, it’s been tough for Diogo Jota to find a way into the starting lineup, as the likes of Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, and Cody Gakpo have developed a strong relationship up front. Jota could potentially get a start here as Slot hopes to give him time in the rotation.

Liverpool predicted lineup (4-3-3, right to left): Alisson (GK) — Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson — Gravenberch, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister — Salah, Jota, Gakpo

Injured: Gomez (hamstring)
Suspended: None

The latest addition to Tottenham’s incredible injury list is Radu Dragusin who tore his ACL in the 3-0 Europa League win over Elfsborg last week. Spurs will thankfully have Micky van de Ven in his place at the back, as the Dutch defender was rested for the 2-0 win over Brentford on the weekend.

Ange Postecoglou indicated he is hoping to have a slew of reinforcements en route over the next two weeks. Guglielmo VicarioBrennan JohnsonDestiny Udogie, and Timo Werner are all thought to be returning soon, but not in time for this cup game.

Cristian Romero remains “week-to-week” according to Postecoglou, while James Maddison and Dominic Solanke are others who need a few more weeks. Mathys Tel will be available to make his debut if his documentation is processed in time.

Tottenham predicted lineup (4-3-3, right to left): Kinsky (GK) — Porro, Van de Ven, Gray, Spence — Sarr, Bentancur, Bissouma — Kulusevski, Richarlison, Son

The two sides have met twice this season with both winning one match each. In the Premier League, Liverpool secured a 6-3 win in North London while Spurs won 1-0 in the first leg of the EFL Cup semifinal.
