Juventus burst out of the gates in style to kick off their 2025 FIFA Club World Cup campaign, and now the Italian giants set their sights on Wydad Casablanca for their second showdown.
Despite sneaking into the tournament as the eighth-best UEFA side over a four-year span, the Old Lady wasted no time making a statement—steamrolling Al-Ain 5-0 in Washington D.C., with four of those goals coming before halftime in a blistering opening spell.
Meanwhile, Wydad AC are still chasing their first-ever Club World Cup win. After falling short against 2023 European champions Manchester City in their opener, the Moroccan side’s tournament record now reads one draw and three defeats.
This is Wydad’s third crack at Club World Cup glory, having punched their ticket into the expanded format thanks to their CAF Champions League triumph three seasons ago.

Juventus vs. Wydad Casablanca predicted lineups, team news
Juventus could be boosted by the return of skipper Manuel Locatelli, as the midfield maestro eyes a comeback from the ankle knock that sidelined him during Italy duty earlier this month. With a marquee clash against Manchester City on the horizon, Igor Tudor may be tempted to shuffle the deck.
The injury list is finally thinning out, with only Juan Cabal, backup shot-stopper Mattia Perin, center-back Bremer, and striker Arkadiusz Milik unavailable. Both Bremer and Milik are back on the training pitch after lengthy layoffs but won’t feature in the tournament.
Up top, Randal Kolo Muani—on loan from PSG—is in pole position to lead the line in a likely 3-4-2-1 setup. Still, Dusan Vlahovic could get the nod if Tudor opts for fresh legs.
Elsewhere, the likes of Nicolas Gonzalez, Teun Koopmeiners, Douglas Luiz, and Federico Gatti are all knocking on the door for starting spots and could slot in should the rotation wheel keep spinning.
Juventus predicted XI (3-4-2-1, right to left): Di Gregorio (GK) — Kalulu, Gatti, Kelly — Gonzalez, Thuram, Locatelli, Cambiaso — Conceicao, Yildiz — Kolo Muani.
Injured: Juan Cabal, Mattia Perin, Bremer, Arkadiusz Milik.
Suspended: None
Wydad Casablanca are expected to roll out their big guns on Sunday, with elimination looming if they come away empty-handed once again.
Seasoned winger Nordin Amrabat looks set to keep his spot in the starting XI, linking up with lively South African forward Thembinkosi Lorch in the final third. Lorch turned heads in the clash against Manchester City, firing off three shots and tallying seven touches inside the box—numbers that have already sparked chatter about a possible return to international duty.
If head coach Mohamed Amine Benhachem opts to shake things up in the front line, former Eredivisie standout Mohamed Rayhi could be handed a start. The 11-goal scorer from last season brings a proven nose for goal, and should he get the nod, Toronto FC loanee Cassius Mailula would likely be the one to step aside.
Wydad Casablanca predicted XI (5-4-1, right to left): Benabid (GK) — Moufi, Meijers, Boutouil, Ferreira, Moufid — Amrabat, Malsa, El Moubarik, Lorch — Rayhi.
Injured: None
Suspended: None
