The Broncos head into 2025 with a lot of expectations following a breakthrough season in 2024.
Denver made the playoffs with rookie quarterback Bo Nix under center and a shutdown defense. This year, the Broncos hope to push the Chiefs for an AFC West title, something they haven’t done in a decade since they won the Super Bowl after the 2015 season.
Including Nix, the offense remains mostly the same. Courtland Sutton is the top receiving threat on the outside. Still, there will be a committee of running backs, featuring Audric Estime, Jaleel McLaughlin, 2025 second-rounder R.J. Harvey and free-agent addition J.K. Dobbins.
First-round rookie cornerback Jahdae Barron joins fellow lockdown defensive back Patrick Surtain in the secondary. Free-agent joiners Dre Greelaw and Talanoa Hufanga should improve the defense even more this season.
