Manchester City are hoping to stay in the hunt for FA Cup glory as they take on Bournemouth in the quarterfinal on Sunday.
With a mid-season collapse virtually ruling them out of the Premier League title race, Pep Guardiola’s side will be desperate for some Cup success. 2024 FA Cup finalists City advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating this year’s surprise package Plymouth Argyle 3-1 in Round 5.
However, Man City are winless since that triumph — they lost to Nottingham Forest and drew with Brighton in league play.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth had to tough it out against Wolves in Round 5, winning 5-4 on penalties (1-1 after regulation time) to advance to the quarterfinal.

Bournemouth vs. Man City, team news
Bournemouth lost Luis Sinisterra to injury just before the international break, which sees him out for a few more weeks. They are also missing Marcos Senesi, Julian Araujo, and Enes Unal, with the latter out for the season after a torn ACL.
Ryan Christie is playing through a chronic injury so his fitness will have to be assessed each and every match. The availability of Tyler Adams will also be a question after returning from international duty overseas, as Bournemouth may wish to tread carefully with a player who has a spotty injury history.
Bournemouth predicted XI (4-2-3-1, right to left): Arrizabalaga (GK) — Cook, Zabarnyi, Huijsen, Kerkez — Christie, Adams — Tavernier, Kluivert, Semenyo — Evanilson.
Injured: Unal (ACL), Sinisterra (hamstring), Araujo (hamstring, doubt), Senesi (muscle, doubt).
Suspended: None.

It’s unclear what Ederson‘s availability is for this match, but regardless, it’s likely that Stefan Ortega will be in goal as he’s been the domestic Cup starter this season. With this match on Sunday, Savinho may have enough time to get back from international duty abroad and recover to play a part.
Pep Guardiola has a few lineup decisions to make, with Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan options in midfield, while choosing between Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku could leave one of them out.
Defenders Nathan Ake and Manuel Akanji are sidelined for weeks or more with muscle injuries, while John Stones needs a few more weeks to shake off his thigh problem. Rodri remains out for the season with his ACL tear.
Man City predicted XI (4-2-3-1, right to left): Ortega (GK) — Lewis, Khusanov, Dias, Gvardiol — N. Gonzalez, Gundogan — Foden, Marmoush, Doku — Haaland.
Injured: Rodri (ACL), Ederson (groin, doubt), Akanji (muscle), Ake (muscle), Stones (thigh), Bobb (leg).
Suspended: None.
