Andorra’s national stadium has been temporarily taken off the grid after hosting the recent Games of the Small States of Europe, so the tiny principality’s upcoming showdown with England on Saturday has been shifted to the RCDE Stadium in Barcelona.
On the pitch, Andorra’s World Cup qualifying journey has gotten off to a rocky start, stumbling out of the gate with back-to-back shutout losses during the March window. A narrow 1-0 defeat at home to Latvia was followed by a 2-0 setback in Albania, leaving the minnows without a goal — or a point — to show for their early efforts.
England, meanwhile, have come out swinging under new boss Thomas Tuchel. Still licking their wounds from near misses at EURO 2020 and 2024, the Three Lions kicked off their latest quest for silverware with a pair of statement wins.
They took care of Albania 2-0, then made short work of Latvia in a 3-0 romp at Wembley, keeping clean sheets in both to signal that the Tuchel era might mean business.

Andorra vs. England predicted lineups, team news
Andorra will be without one of its elder statesmen this time around, as 42-year-old stalwart Marc Pujol, capped 122 times, hasn’t been called up for this international window. His absence leaves a sizable gap in both leadership and locker room wisdom.
Adding to the uphill battle for the Tricolours, sharpshooter Albert Rosas Ubach — tied for second on Andorra’s all-time scoring list with five goals — is also a no-show. With both veterans out of the picture, the captain’s armband weighs heavier than usual on Marc Vales, who may need to trade in his defensive duties for a more attacking role.
Vales, now 35, is knocking on the door of a major milestone. Should he take the pitch against England and Serbia, he’ll hit the century mark in international appearances. Meanwhile, Villarreal B’s Iker Alvarez will man the posts, tasked with keeping Andorra’s hopes alive against far bigger fish.
Andorra predicted lineup (5-4-1, right to left): Alvarez (GK) — Borra, San Nicolas, Llovera, Olivera, M. Garcia — Rodrigo, Vales, Babot, Cervos — Fernandez.
Andorra injuries: None.
Thomas Tuchel has shuffled the deck ahead of England’s next outing, with eight names from his debut squad either missing the cut or sidelined for this round. Notably absent are Phil Foden, Marcus Rashford, and Europa League champ Dominic Solanke — the latter making way for Al-Ahli striker Ivan Toney to step into the fold.
Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah, still waiting in the wings for his first senior cap, could be handed a long-awaited debut. However, with World Cup qualifying points up for grabs on Saturday, Tuchel may keep his cards close to his chest and stick with a more seasoned lineup before loosening the reins in a midweek friendly against Senegal.
Skipper Harry Kane, meanwhile, is all but locked in to add another notch to his belt. Barring any last-minute surprises, the talismanic striker is set to earn his 106th cap — drawing level with England greats Sir Bobby Charlton and Frank Lampard on the all-time appearances chart, slotting into a three-way tie for seventh.
England predicted lineup (4-2-3-1, right to left): Pickford (GK) — Alexander-Arnold, Konsa, Colwill, Lewis-Skelly — Rice, Bellingham — Saka, Palmer, Gordon — Kane.
England injuries: Phil Foden, Marcus Rashford, Dominic Solanke.
