Where is the Super Bowl in 2025? Location, city, stadium for Super Bowl 59 and beyond

The Super Bowl is an event unlike any other, so it’s only fitting that a game of its magnitude is played at a venue that makes it a grand spectacle.

The last three Super Bowls all took place out West: Inglewood, Calif., Glendale, Ariz., and Las Vegas, Nev. However, the league is heading to the southeast for the final game of the 2024 season.

The NFL has tabbed a frequent location for this year’s Super Bowl. In fact, no other city has hosted the football finale as many times as this metropolitan area.

Here’s everything to know about the Super Bowl location this year.

Where is the Super Bowl this year?

New Orleans is the site for Super Bowl 59.

It will tie Miami for most times hosting the game at 11. Set to play on Feb. 9, 2025, it will be a record eighth time the game has been played inside one venue.

Caesars Superdome, renamed in 2021, has hosted seven times (1978, ’81, ’86, ’90, ’97, 2002, ’13), with the last time coming in 2013 when the Ravens beat the 49ers. The first three times New Orleans hosted (1970, ’72, ’75), the game was played at Tulane Stadium.

Future Super Bowl locations

Year Site
2026 Levi’s Stadium (Santa Clara, Calif.)
2027 SoFi Stadium (Inglewood, Calif.)
2028 Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta, Ga.)

The NFL has already selected where the Super Bowl will be held through 2028.

It will be played back-to-back years in California before heading back to the southeast for a Super Bowl in Atlanta.

Super Bowl 2026: Santa Clara

Ten years after hosting its first, the Super Bowl returns to Santa Clara. It will be just the second time Levi’s Stadium, home of the 49ers, has hosted the big game.

Super Bowl 60 will be the Bay Area’s third time hosting the Super Bowl. The championship was also played at Stanford Stadium in 1985.

Super Bowl 2027: Los Angeles

After 2026, the Super Bowl is staying out West, as Los Angeles will host the Super Bowl in 2027. After hosting in 2022, the championship game will return to SoFi Stadium just five years later.

The SoCal city has hosted eight times previously, utilizing the Rose Bowl and LA Memorial Coliseum, homes of colleges UCLA and USC. The Rams, who play their home games at SoFi, took home their second Super Bowl win when the stadium first hosted.

Super Bowl 2028: Atlanta

The NFL announced that Super Bowl 2028 will take place in Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Falcons.

This is the fourth time the Georgia city will host the big game. The last time the Super Bowl was in Atlanta was in 2019 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, but the previous two occurrences —1994 and 2000 — took place at the Georgia Dome.
