Like Wilt Chamberlain before him, James came to the Lakers for the final portion of his storied career, and that didn’t stop him from winning a title in LA.

LeBron’s time as a Laker has been an exercise in defying Father Time. He’s the single greatest 40-year-old NBA player the world has ever seen, as he continues to produce numbers nearly equivalent to his impressive career averages.

The high amount of roster turnover in LA during LeBron’s tenure reiterates a recurring theme over the King’s career — he can win with almost anyone. Sure, the Lakers haven’t been bona fide contenders for every stretch of the LeBron era, but LA’s brass has never once lost confidence that it can build a champion around one of the game’s greatest ever players, even in his advanced age.

It’s hard to believe LeBron is now in his seventh season as a Laker, especially since he carried out an entire Hall of Fame career before ever coming to Hollywood.

It’s crazy that LeBron has put together a legitimate resume that deserves a spot on this list, seeing as the Lakers are but the final act of his 22-year (and counting) NBA narrative.

But who tops James as the eighth-greatest Laker? Find out below.
