When is the Masters in 2025? Dates, schedule, more to know about Augusta National golf tournament

While the second week of April typically means the end of the 2025 NCAA March Madness tournament, it also marks the beginning of one of the greatest times of year in golf—The Masters Tournament at Augusta National.

Last year’s champion, Scottie Scheffler, will be looking to secure his third green jacket of his career in 2025. But several other strong contenders can take a run at a Scheffler repeat, such as Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Ludvig Aberg, Colin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele.

Although the official tournament tees off on Thursday morning, there are a number of events leading up to the tournament that attract a number of patrons each and every year.

Is Tiger Woods playing in the Masters in 2025?

Unfortunately for Woods fans, the five-time Masters champion will not be teeing it up in Augusta this year. Earlier in March, the 49-year-old announced that he had torn his left achilles while training.

Woods played in all four major tournaments last year and was expected to try to compete in the Masters before his injury.
