When is Jake Paul’s next fight? Date, price, tickets and more to know about Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. card

Jake Paul is back in action! The Youtuber-turned-boxer continues his progress in the ring when he faces former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on June 28. The fight in California airs on DAZN PPV worldwide.

The fight and event is a collaboration between Paul and Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions. Both men have teamed up to put on a show on the day of UFC 317 in Las Vegas.

Paul (11-1) is coming off a historic event in November where he faced Mike Tyson. While the 58-year-old Tyson couldn’t do much in the ring, the fight on Netflix brought in record viewing numbers.

The 28-year-old Paul was close to fighting Canelo Alvarez before the latter signed a deal with Riyadh Season. A fight with Gervonta Davis was also on the table before “Tank” fought Lamont Roach to a draw. Now, he faces the son of the legendary Julio Cesar Chavez, a man Canelo has beaten.

“Five years ago, I stepped into the ring for my pro debut after a single amateur fight, and every fight since has been a step towards becoming world champion. I just defeated the baddest man on the planet, and now I’m going against a former champion who conman Canelo couldn’t finish,” Paul said in a statement.

“Chavez Jr. is Mexican, but I, El Gallo De Dorado, have the will and heart of the great Mexican fighters. On Saturday, June 28, live on DAZN pay-per-view, I will knock out Julio and make Chavez Sr. proud in ways Jr. never has.”

Chavez Jr. (55-6-1) was considered the next big thing in boxing. He won the WBC middleweight title in 2011. Since losing against Canelo in 2017, Chavez has gone 4-3, including a loss against former MMA great Anderson Silva.

The 39-year-old beat Uriah Hall on the Paul vs. Mike Perry fight card. He has attempted to find his way back to relevancy. A win against Paul could do just that.

“I feel rejuvenated and 10 years younger… I want to thank MVP for taking the risk of fighting me,” Chavez said. “Unfortunately for their Problem Child, they’re going to have a big problem this June—one they won’t know how to resolve. Hopefully when I beat him, people won’t underestimate this win.”
