When does French Open 2025 start? Schedule, draw dates, TV and live stream details for tennis grand slam

The countdown is on for the 2025 French Open, as the tennis world shifts focus to its second grand slam of the year.

Last year, Carlos Alcaraz etched his name into Roland-Garros history with a gritty comeback win over Alexander Zverev, rallying from two sets to one down with a dazzling late surge.

On the women’s side, Iga Swiatek once again proved she’s untouchable on clay, brushing aside Jasmine Paolini 6-2, 6-1 to claim her fourth French Open crown.

Still only 23, the Polish star has now lifted the trophy in four of the past five editions, cementing her status as the dominant force on the red dirt. But challengers like Coco Gauff will be hungry to break that streak this time around.

On the men’s side, all eyes will be on Jannik Sinner, who returns to action following a three-month suspension, hoping to challenge the likes of Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic for the crown.

Adding even more weight to this year’s event is the absence of Rafael Nadal. For the first time since his unforgettable debut in 2005, the King of Clay won’t feature in the draw after bidding farewell to professional tennis at the end of 2024. His unmatched 14 titles at Roland-Garros leave a legacy that will loom large over Paris for years to come.

Whether you’re tuning in to catch the next breakout star, rooting for fan favorites like Swiatek, Djokovic, or Gauff, or curious to see how the post-Nadal era unfolds, this guide has everything you need to follow the 2025 French Open.
