Trent Alexander-Arnold has now arrived at Real Madrid and undergone his medical assessment to join the squad at Santiago Bernabeu.
Initially, Alexander-Arnold was set to sign for Real Madrid from Liverpool as a free agent, with his contract at Anfield expiring at the end of June.
However, the La Liga giants had to pay £10 million to the Reds for his early release so that the Englishman could be a part of Los Blancos’ squad for the upcoming Club World Cup, which is starting on June 14.
Alexander-Arnold has parted ways with his boyhood club after nine long years and signed a six-year contract with Real Madrid, prompting questions about what shirt number will the 26-year-old be wearing at the Spanish club.
Alexander-Arnold has been awarded the number 12 shirt at Real Madrid, according to TNT Sports. The jersey was formerly worn by Eduardo Camavinga following Marcelo’s departure in 2022.
When and where will Trent Alexander-Arnold be officially presented as a Real Madrid player?
Alexander-Arnold is set to be officially unveiled as Real Madrid’s new player on Thursday at the Valdebebas Sports City. His presentation is also reported to have club president Florentino Perez in attendance.
