The Vikings (1-1) will wrap up their preseason campaign on Friday night when they square off against the Titans (1-1).
Minnesota’s most recent outing against the Patriots was a mixed bag, largely because New England rolled out its starters while Minnesota leaned heavily on reserves. That imbalance showed on the scoreboard, and the Vikings’ backup quarterbacks, in particular, had trouble stringing together consistent drives in what turned into a sloppy afternoon at U.S. Bank Stadium.
On the other side, Tennessee looks far more settled under center. Rookie quarterback Cam Ward may not have eye-popping stats just yet (7-of-15 for 109 yards in two starts), but his game passes the eye test. In just five series of action, Ward has flashed everything you’d want in a franchise QB, composure under pressure, a live arm, mobility, and the ability to command the pocket.
