The 36-year-old is having another excellent season, earning an All-Star starter nod and is still among the best scorers in the NBA. He’s kept the Suns in the playoff mix despite an overly competitive Western Conference, though reports indicate he may be on the move again.
While the Suns compete for a playoff or play-in spot, the Thunder are pacing the Western Conference. They’re the top team in the conference despite Chet Holmgren’s lengthy injury recovery.
This is thanks to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who is leading the MVP discussions. He’s looking for his first MVP award and has stiff competition with Nikola Jokic looking for his fourth trophy.
The Thunder won this matchup the first time and will get home-court advantage again this round. The third leg of the series will be in April.
