One of the oldest traditions in college football, the annual East-West Shrine Bowl, is set to take place for the 100th time this Thursday as players prepare for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Over 150 of the top college football players aiming to achieve their dream of playing in the NFL next season will participate in the second-oldest college football game in the U.S. In addition to preparing prospects for the pre-draft process, the game will also provide proceeds to Shriners Children’s healthcare system.
Among this year’s participants is Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who spent much of the 2024 season in the Heisman Trophy conversation. Sanders, who threw for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns, has been slated as high as the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft by draft analysts.
Marquice Williams, special teams coordinator for the Falcons, will lead the East team. Shane Bowen, defensive coordinator for the Giants, will lead the West team.
