West Ham vs. Tottenham lineups, expected starting 11, confirmed team news, injuries: Three new blows for Spurs

West Ham host Tottenham in a Premier League London derby that comes towards the end of a dispiriting campaign for both clubs.

Spurs still have their sights on UEFA Europa League glory, so much so that Thursday’s pending semifinal second leg at Bodo/Glimt is likely to be foremost in Ange Postecoglou’s thoughts.

His opposite number Graham Potter is in need of a morale-boosting win after a run of seven Premier League games without a victory.

That’s part of the reason why this is a 17th vs. 16th clash between two clubs with far loftier ambitions.

Evan Ferguson is back in the fold for West Ham, having been ineligible for the dramatic defeat to parent club Brighton & Hove Albion last time out. Nevertheless, Germany striker Niclas Fullkrug is favourite to lead the line.

Edson Alvarez is closing in on a return from a back injury, while Michail Antonio and Crysensio Summerville remain long-term absentees.

West Ham predicted lineup (4-2-3-1, right to left): Areola (GK) — Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Kilman, Emerson — Soucek, Alvarez — Bowen, Paqueta, Kudus — Fullkrug

Injured: Alvarez (back, doubt), Antonio (leg), Summerville (hamstring)
Suspended: None

Thursday’s 3-1 win over Bodo/Glimt came at a cost for Spurs, who lost goal-scorers Dominic Solanke and James Maddison to injury. Postecoglou considers Solanke a doubt for the weekend but is waiting on the results of a scan to determine whether Maddison’s problem is more severe.

Lucas Bergvall was on the sidelines sporting a pair of crutches during midweek and his season is probably over due to an ankle injury.

Club captain Son Heung-min and Radu Dragusin each remain sidelined. As was the case for last weekend’s shellacking at Anfield, expect Postecoglou to make plenty of changes.

Tottenham predicted lineup (4-3-3, right to left): Vicario (GK) — Spence, Gray, Danso, Davies — Kulusevski, Sarr, Bissouma — Odobert, Richarlison, Tel

Injured: Solanke (undisc, doubt), Maddison (undisc), Bergvall (ankle), Son (foot), Dragusin (ACL)
Suspended: None
