Many people were wondering if New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson had a fluke game against the Dallas Cowboys when he threw for 450 yards. Well, Wilson looked horrible in the first half for this team.
He completed 56.3% of his passes for 160 yards and two interceptions in a 22-9 loss for the Giants against the Chiefs. New York dropped to 0-3 on the season. With this team dropping to 0-3 for the first time since 2021, it appears as if everyone is on the hot seat once again. Is it finally time for this franchise to bench Wilson and start the rookie Jaxson Dart?
New York Giants Fans Chant for Jaxson Dart During the Game Against the Kansas City Chiefs
Giants’ fans during the game on Sunday were chanting, “We Want Dart” when Wilson was struggling during the first half against the Chiefs. He did see the field, but he did not attempt the pass. This charade that Brian Daboll has with using him as a Taysom Hill like player needs to end immediately.
They only have one lifeline left and it is turn to the rookie quarterback. There has been no word yet on if they are going to start Wilson or Dart in week four against the Los Angeles Chargers (3-0). If they were to turn to the rookie quarterback, they better hope he is good, and it results in victories.
If that does not transpire, then this franchise is going to clean house and start all over again. There are many things wrong with this franchise. No matter who they play at quarterback, things seem to go wrong. The issue with this team is coaching.
It explains why Daniel Jones is 3-0 with the Indianapolis Colts. Getting rid of Jones is looking really bad for Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen right now. There roster construction is poor. They have nothing to lose at this point by starting the rookie. Dart is their hail mary attempt to save this current regime’s job. Desperation is a dangerous thing, and it is already at that point in the Giants season.
