WATCH: Patriots QB Drake Maye mic’d up in 2025 Pro Bowl Games

The New England Patriots had a rough 2024 season, finishing with an abysmal 4-13 record and firing their coach for the second time in two years.

However, there were still a few Patriots who showed promise and deserved praise for their performance, including rookie quarterback Drake Maye.

New England selected Maye out of the University of North Carolina with the third-overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, and while he started the year backing up Jacoby Brissett, he eventually took over as the team’s starting quarterback.

The 22-year-old completed 66.6% of his passes for 2,276 yards with 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while rushing for another 421 yards and two scores in his 13 games (12 starts).

Maye’s play earned him a spot in the Pro Bowl as an alternate after Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson refused the invite.

The former Tar Heel struggled in his precision passing challenge and was up-and-down in the actual flag football game, but New England’s content team had their quarterback mic’d up for the event and put together a cool video compilation of Maye’s time at the 2025 Pro Bowl Games.

It was incredible to see Maye’s interactions with some of the best players the NFL has to offer, and it was even better to hear Peyton Manning heap praise on the young quarterback.

This is just the start of Maye’s career, and if New England can solidify the offensive line and surround the quarterback with legitimate weapons, he could be voted to the roster soon instead of relying on another player bowing out.
