The Golden State Warriors continue to strike out in free agency. They can’t find a sign-and-trade partner for Jonathan Kuminga. They still haven’t signed Al Horford. And now their perfect free agent target is likely headed to a rival Western Conference team.
Forbes’ Evan Sidery recently reported on this unfortunate Warriors news.
“There is significant momentum building towards Bradley Beal signing with the Clippers, once his buyout with the Suns becomes official soon.
Beal will have the ability to start on a title contender in Los Angeles, plus the opportunity to re-establish his overall contract value.”
When the rumors of Bradley Beal being bought out by the Phoenix Suns started, the Warriors were named as a possible destination.
This would have been the perfect comeback after a very slow and unproductive free agency. Beal is likely going to sign a below-market-value contract after being bought out. His list of destinations also showed he wanted to join a contender.
The fact that he is going to choose the Clippers is just depressing. The Warriors organization would like to believe they can offer more to Beal than a team like the Clippers. They have championship experience, bonafide superstars, and plenty of room for Beal to flourish.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like Beal and his representation agree.

For Warriors fans, it is just another piece of bad news from this free agency period. They haven’t signed a significant free agent since Kevin Durant in 2016. Have they lost their appeal? The Warriors certainly hope not, as they need some more talent to help get Stephen Curry his fifth NBA title.
