The Golden State Warriors’ free agency rumors are getting quieter and quieter. As they continue not to make any signings, many of the best available players are going elsewhere. That’s why this Warriors free agency prediction that lands them one of their former players who is now a potential perfect fit has many excited.
Ricky O’Donnell of SBNation made his “NBA free agency predictions for 12 best available players on 2025 market”.
The Warriors re-signing their former undrafted signing is one of his top predictions.
“Chris Boucher Prediction: Golden State Warriors
Predicted contract: One year, $3 million
Boucher is still a solid bench big at 32 years old, and he could finally leave the only team he’s ever known in the NBA in the Raptors after hitting unrestricted free agency. Boucher hit 36.3 percent of his threes last year, and while his rim protection has diminished some with age, he can still provide some shot-blocking. The Warriors need more stretch bigs, and Boucher would fit well there.”
We listed Chris Boucher as one of the top realistic Warriors free agency targets just a few days ago.
Boucher is a solid bench player who could be a great fit in Golden State. He is a solid three-point shooter and can help the Warriors a ton on the defensive end. His length and switchability are something the Warriors coaching staff would love to have at their disposal.
While one of his two NBA championships (one riding the bench for the Warriors) might not have been directly from his contributions, he has seen what it takes to win and could bring a winning mentality to Golden State.
