Focus shifts to the EFL Cup final
Despite the disappointment, Van Dijk was quick to shift focus to the next challenge. He urged his teammates to move on from the defeat and get ready for their upcoming EFL Cup final against Newcastle United.
“We have to get ready for the next challenge, which is a beautiful one on the weekend, so we go again,” Van Dijk said.
Liverpool will now aim to bounce back and secure silverware at Wembley. With their Premier League title hopes still alive, they have plenty to fight for in the coming weeks.
