Vegas Golden Knights’ 2025-26 schedule brings heavyweight matchups and brutal road gauntlets

The Vegas Golden Knights finished last season at 50-22-10, good for first in the Pacific Division, but fell short of adding another Stanley Cup banner to the rafters at T-Mobile Arena. The 2025-26 schedule is here, and it’s packed with rivalry dates, national TV spotlights, and tough road swings that will once again test the reigning Pacific champs.

Opening statement

Vegas opens at home Oct. 8 under the TNT spotlight against the Los Angeles Kings. The next night, they head straight to San Jose before continuing west for Seattle and Calgary. The Knights waste no time seeing division rivals.

Non-division showdowns

  • Oct. 16 vs Boston Bruins – A heavyweight cross-conference test early in the year.

  • Oct. 31 vs Colorado Avalanche – Halloween at T-Mobile with two Western powers.

  • Nov. 18 vs New York Rangers – The Broadway Blueshirts come to Vegas, always a marquee night.

  • Jan. 15 vs Toronto Maple Leafs – Auston Matthews and Toronto visit for a national ESPN showcase.

  • Mar. 28 vs Washington Capitals – Ovechkin’s chase for 900 goals stops in Vegas for a Saturday night clash.

The road gauntlets

  • Oct. 25–28: Florida/Tampa Bay/Carolina – A three-game trip against Cup-caliber rosters.

  • Dec. 5–13: New Jersey, Rangers, Islanders, Flyers, Blue Jackets – Five games in nine days through the East.

  • Mar. 1–4: Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Detroit – A back-to-back-to-back sequence in different cities.

  • Apr. 4–11: Edmonton, Vancouver, Seattle, Colorado – A brutal four-game run against division rivals and playoff foes to close the regular season.

Rivalries that matter

  • Oct. 9 at San Jose Sharks – The rivalry is alive and well, even with both clubs in different stages.

  • Dec. 27 vs Colorado Avalanche – A possible preview of a Western Conference Final.

  • Jan. 6 at Winnipeg Jets – Last year’s Presidents’ Trophy winners await in Canada.

  • Mar. 26 vs Edmonton Oilers – McDavid in Vegas always delivers speed and chaos.

How it shakes out

The Golden Knights will play 15 back-to-backs and face their toughest opponents in concentrated stretches. Depth, health, and goalie management will be critical. The roster remains built for playoff hockey, but to get back to the Cup Final, Vegas must navigate a schedule stacked with rivals, milestone moments, and high-pressure road swings.
