The two squads are no strangers. Last summer, the Americans defeated Brazil 1-0 to claim gold thanks to the singular goal by Mallory Swanson.
They’ll make history when they meet again at SoFi Stadium, but this time in a new way. The friendly marks the first professional women’s sporting event at the venue, and it couldn’t be a better match as the No. 1 team in the world hosts No. 7 in one of the greatest soccer rivalries.
NorCal gets a taste of greatness, too. Three days after playing in LA, the U.S. and Brazil will head to San Jose for a second friendly.
