‘Undisputed’ boxing video game extends legendary partnership with Muhammad Ali Enterprises

‘Undisputed’ boxing, the first boxing video game since ‘Fight Night,’ is getting a legendary update.

Announced Thursday, Steel City Creative, the creators of the ground-breaking game, has made an exclusive agreement to extend the partnership with Muhammad Ali Enterprises, which will see the boxing legend appearing as a playable character until 2037. With this announcement also comes a digital billboard advertisement scheduled to run in Times Square throughout May 2. “Continuing our exclusive license with Muhammad Ali, the most loved and influential sports figure in history, highlights our commitment to fans of boxing,” said Ash Habib, CEO of Steel City Interactive in a statement.

“It’s incredible for the ‘Undisputed’ franchise that we’ve secured this deal for a boxing video game. As we look to the future and build on the success of ‘Undisputed,’ this ground-breaking partnership allows us to continue giving our players access to one of our most popular in-game characters,” he continued.

Per the ‘Undisputed’ website, the Steel City Interactive-developed boxing game “is an authentic boxing game developed with care by dedicated fight fans, alongside the professional boxing community.” Formerly known as ‘eSports Boxing Club,’ the game features over 70 real-life men and women boxers, including legends and present-day icons, plus a career mode where gamers can create their own fighters and begin as amateurs.

There are multiple fighting stances and blocking styles to choose from with your fighter, alongside multiple punch sets like “Traditional,” “Peek-A-Boo,” “Slugger,” “Muhammed Ali (Unique)” and “Old School,” which includes the years ranging from 1930-1959. Aside from Ali, additional fighters in the game include: Canelo Alvarez, Roy Jones Jr., Katie Taylor, Sugar Ray Leonard and more.

“Undisputed” is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox X/S and PC, with prices ranging from $50 to $80.
