This season, Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill has come in with an entirely new mindset. This shift comes after he had planned to leave Miami following last season’s final game. However, that is no longer the case. Hill wants to stay in Miami and is using this season as a proving ground.
“Every day I’m trying to prove myself as one of those guys this team can depend on in crucial moments. . . . It was tough. Emotions were high then. At the end of the day, I’m just looking to move forward from that. Hoping that I can prove myself and prove to my teammates that I’m still one of those ones,” Hill said.
Hill has also expressed his belief that this year marks a turning point in raising the Dolphins’ standard for the better.
“This year as one of the leaders, I told the guys, it’s time to change who we are as a team. It’s time to change the narrative about we are not able to play in cold weather, we are not a physical team. So, I’m tired of that narrative. I’m tired of living behind not being able to go to the playoffs and win in Miami,” Hill said. “We got a good quarterback, we got a good offensive lineman and we got some good coaches and we got some good people in the community who deserve to be a part of that. So, I feel like this is the year that we change all of that.”
On Monday morning, Jalen Ramsey was traded to the Steelers—meaning Hill didn’t keep his word.
“I’m getting Ramsey back in a Dolphins jersey, I don’t care what they say,” Hill said. “He’s a dog. He’s one of the best corners in the league, man. Great leader. Great teammate too, though. That’s what he doesn’t get a lot of credit for, man.”

Ramsey will no longer be wearing a Dolphins uniform, and Hill got Miami fans excited for nothing. While Hill has been trying to make things right with the Dolphins faithful, this time he didn’t live up to the hype.
