The Soccer Tournament (TST) is set to make its highly anticipated return in 2025, marking the third edition of the fast-paced, winner-takes-all 7v7 competition. With each passing year, the event has gained momentum and prestige, and this summer promises to be the biggest yet.

For the third consecutive year, Cary, North Carolina’s WakeMed Soccer Park will be the stage for the week-long soccer spectacle, unfolding from June 4 through June 9 (Wednesday to Monday).

One of the most notable changes for 2025 is the expansion of the women’s tournament, which has doubled in size from eight to 16 teams, a clear sign of growing interest and investment in the format.

As always, the stakes are high: the champions in both the men’s and women’s brackets will each claim a $1 million prize.

Back to defend their title are the U.S. Women’s team, champions of the inaugural 2024 women’s tournament. The star-studded squad is anchored by captain Heather O’Reilly, who will be joined by fellow American icons Carli Lloyd and Ali Krieger. The trio, boasting World Cup and Olympic glory, will reunite on the pitch for the first time since 2016.

The player pool is once again stacked with household names from across the world. Among those expected to grace the pitch are Manchester City and Argentina icon Sergio Aguero (representing Seleccion Potrero), former Portuguese international Nani (Nani FC), U.S. goalkeeping legend Hope Solo (Solo FC), Club America’s Miguel Layun, Brazilian standout and longtime Atletico Madrid defender Miranda, and Italian international Sebastian Giovinco (Kwik Goal FC).

On the Spanish-language side, ESPN Deportes will feature Richard Mendez, Barak Fever, Alex Pareja, Cristina Alexander, and Carolina de las Salas offering commentary and insights.

When is TST 2025?

The tournament takes place in North Carolina from Wednesday, June 4 to Monday, June 9. Multiple matches will take place across each day, with morning and evening sessions on four days, before the final on June 9.

TST 2025 schedule for weekend of games

The tournament begins on Wednesday, June 4 and will run through the lengthy slate of men’s group-stage games across the first two days of play. Once Friday arrives, the men’s bracket reaches the early portion of the knockout stage, while the women’s group stage also begins.

Saturday sees the men reach the Round of 16 and then quarterfinals, while the women wrap up the group stages. Both the men and women will contest the semifinals on Sunday, and the finals for both brackets will take place on Monday, where one men’s team and one women’s team will take home a $1 million grand prize.
