Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold has refused to give any guarantees about his future as rumors of a possible move to Real Madrid continue to grow.
With his contract expiring in the summer, the 26-year-old defender has kept fans guessing about whether he will extend his stay at Anfield or head to Spain.
Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to make their move in January, taking advantage of Alexander-Arnold’s ability to negotiate with foreign clubs.
Despite the speculation, the Liverpool right-back has remained tight-lipped about ongoing contract talks, saying the discussions will stay private.
“I have been at the club 20 years now,” Alexander-Arnold told Sky Sports. “I have signed four or five contract extensions, and none of those have been played out in public – and this one won’t be either.”
While refusing to reveal his plans, Alexander-Arnold hinted at his excitement for Liverpool’s future under new manager Arne Slot. He praised Slot’s attention to detail and admitted he feels reinvigorated by the Dutchman’s approach.

What Trent Alexander-Arnold said?
Alexander-Arnold has played a key role for Liverpool this season, making 18 appearances across all competitions. The Reds currently sit atop the Premier League table, four points clear of Chelsea.
Speaking about the team’s prospects, the defender expressed confidence in their ability to compete for multiple trophies. “I think we win multiple trophies. I think that’s the level that we’re at,” he said.
The England international also revealed his ambition to hit 100 assists for Liverpool. With 83 assists to his name, Alexander-Arnold sees it as a long-term goal but one he is determined to achieve.
“To be honest, I never thought I’d ever hit numbers like that,” he admitted. “But the more you play, the bigger your ambitions become. So yeah, that’ll probably be the next thing: I try to hit that 100.”
For now, Alexander-Arnold’s focus remains on helping Liverpool maintain their dominance in the Premier League. But as January approaches, the uncertainty surrounding his future will keep fans and rivals on edge.
